PhD FILIP GRANEK

CEO & CO-FOUNDER OF XTPL S.A.

Inventor of XTPL technology, one of the world’s best specialists in cutting-edge technologies of solar cell production and technologies based on nanomaterials. For nearly 10 years, he worked for the most prestigious international hi-tech research facilities and businesses such as Fraunhofer ISE (Germany), ECN (the Netherlands), ANU (Australia), Kingstone Semiconductor Company Ltd. (China). He supervised research in close collaboration with the largest enterprises from the photovoltaic sector in Europe, Asia and the U.S. He received numerous awards and grants, e.g. the Burgen scholarship (Akademia Europea), the grant of the Foundation for Polish Science, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education grant for eminent young scientists, the German DAAD’s grant and the prestigious LIDER research grant from the National Centre for Research and Development. He is a member of the renowned Young Academy of Europe and he was included among top European innovators (“New Europe 100 Challengers”). Winner of the 16th edition of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2018 competition. He received the award for his work on breakthrough technology, which has a serious chance to change the world for the better. He also won in the New Business category, in which the award was granted for using his own scientific experience to create an innovative product on a global scale. He authored 70 academic publications and submitted 30 international patent applications and patents.

Jacek Olszański

Management Board Member

Holds a master’s degree in economics from the Poznań University of Economics. He has 20 years’ hands-on experience in finance and controlling gained in corporate groups. Previously worked for KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. and Selena Group, where he held a number of managerial functions. He run his own business in the market of controlling services outsourcing. Supervisory Board and Audit Committee member at companies from various sectors, including companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Jacek Olszański joined XTPL S.A. in October 2018, and so far has served as the financial manager.

PhD WIESŁAW ROZŁUCKI

CHAIRMAN OF THE SUPERVISORY BOARD

A graduate of the Foreign Trade Department of the Central School of Planning and Statistics (now the Warsaw School of Economics); holder of a British Council scholarship at the London School of Economics; obtained a PhD degree in economic geography from the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN). Since 1990, he dealt with ownership transformations – first as an advisor to the Minister of Finance, and then as Head of the Capital Market Development Department at the Ministry of Privatisation. In 1991–1994, a member of the Securities Commission. In the 1990s, he was a member of the Economic Development Council of President of Poland. From 1991 to 2006, President of the Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (Giełda Papierów Wartościowych S.A.) and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Central Securities Depository of Poland (Krajowy Depozyt Papierów Wartościowych) and the Depository for Securities S.A. He was a member of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) and the Federation of European Securities Exchanges (FESE) as well as a member of the Market Participants Consultative Panel of the Committee of European Securities Regulators (CESR) and Chairman of the Jury of the Economic Award of the President of Poland. Currently, he is the chairman of the supervisory board of Bank BPH S.A. He holds the function of the CEO of the Polish Institute of Directors Foundation and of the Programme Board of Harvard Business Review Polska. He also carries on his own consulting business.

PhD Bartosz Wojciechowski

DEPUTY CHAIRMAN OF THE SUPERVISORY BOARD

Obtained a degree in law and psychology from the University of Silesia in Katowice. He also completed post-graduate studies in intellectual property law at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. In 2018, he started a patent attorney apprenticeship. A solicitor, researcher and academic. He runs his own law firm: BWW Kancelaria Adwokacka. For more than 10 years, he has been providing legal services to individual entrepreneurs, partnerships and companies from the commercial, industrial, IT, cosmetics and publishing industries. In the past, he was a member and chairman of the supervisory board of Kubara Investment House S.A.; in March 2015, he was appointed chairman of the supervisory board of Kubar Lamina S.A. with its registered office in Piaseczno.

BEng, PhD, DSc HERBERT WIRTH

SUPERVISORY BOARD MEMBER

Professor Herbert Wirth, BEng, PhD, DSc holds a degree from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow at the Department of Geology and Exploration. He completed post-graduate studies in mining and engineering geology at the Wrocław University of Technology and in project management at The George Washington University School Business and Public Management. Manager with many years of experience in the field of global mining company management. Between 2009-2016, he was  President of the Management Board of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., the world’s  largest silver producer and world’s 8th copper producer. Earlier, from 1998 he held a number of managerial functions at KGHM, including Business Development Director and Geological Research and Analysis Manager. Currently, he works as a professor in the Faculty of Geoengineering, Mining and Geology at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. Member of the Executive Board of an European organization EIT Raw Materials, Vice President of The Employers of Poland Organization, a Member of The Polish Academy of Sciences and Member of The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences. Herbert Wirth has certificates and authorizations related to environmental and quality management. Certified auditor. Author and co-author of many articles, publications and books from the field of geology, resources management, economics of the mining companies.

Beata Turlejska-Zduńczyk

Supervisory Board Member

Managing Partner in the Leonarto Fund. She is responsible for managing the Fund’s investment portfolio. She holds a master’s degree in economics in finance, and is an expert in human resources management and marketing. Graduated from the Warsaw School of Economics and Lazarski University. Leonarto Fund is a closed-end investment vehicle built from shares in 18 selected technology companies (telemedicine, molecular biology, biotechnology, nanotechnology, space industry, HrTech, FinTech, AI + deep learning, sense and avoid, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle).

Piotr Lembas

SUPERVISORY BOARD MEMBER

Holder of a BA degree in Finance and Accounting at the Faculty of Management, Computer Science and Finance of the University of Economics in Wrocław. Then he earned a degree in Master Studies in Finance, a CFA affiliate programme. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certificate (no. 200403). Since 2017, he has been the managing partner at P&V sp. z o.o. sp.k., a consulting firm that provides transaction advice. He is responsible for conducting consultancy projects relating to the acquisition of finance for companies at an early stage of development. In addition, he is a co-founder and CEO of RacoCars sp. o.o. (trading as Indigo Tech brand), an entity operating in the electric vehicle charging infrastructure sector, offering a comprehensive range of products and services for commercial properties. Earlier, in 2013–2015, Piotr Lembas worked with EY Corporate Finance as a senior consultant and as a senior financial analyst at Adiuvo Investments (2015–2017) with a responsibility for company valuations and financial modelling.

PhD ANETA WIATROWSKA

CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

With XTPL since September 2016. In July 2017, she was appointed technology director responsible for all areas involved in the process of printing with XTPL method. She oversees the work of four laboratories: applications, pre-post processes, numerical simulations and advanced characterization. In the years 2013-2015 she participated in a prestigious post-PhD scholarship under the EU Marie Curie (LUMINET) project at the Philips Research Center in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, where she worked primarily on the synthesis, protection and characterization of hygroscopic lutetium iodides, Lul3 doped with lanthanides and synthesis and characterization of scintillating nanoparticles and production of polyurethane based composites containing previously synthesized scintillating nanoparticles. Earlier in 2013, she honored her doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Wroclaw, where she worked for 4 years on new X-ray memories and was a contractor for 4 EU-funded research and development projects:- sintered nanoceramics scintillators (characteristic of new materials under synchrotron radiation at Superlumi Station at DESY, Germany); – new efficient phosphors for lighting and solar concentrators; – detectors and converters of electromagnetic radiation for digital medical diagnosis and security; – innovation challenge within the area of ​​scintillators; She has two patent applications (PHILIPS 2014P00722EP & PHILIPS 2014P00721EP) and two patents (PCT / PL2012 / 050002,10.01.2012 and PCT / PL2014 / 050001, 18.12.2014).

PhD Karolina Fiączyk

R&D MANAGER

In XTPL from January 2017, responsible for managing the research and development team working on the development of treatment processes of already created structures (galvanization, laser sintering) and advanced material characterization. In January 2018, she defended with distinction her PhD thesis at the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Wroclaw, entitled ” Photoluminescent properties of Sr2GeO4 activated with Ce, Pr, Eu”. During her doctoral studies she participated in many international conferences on lanthanides spectroscopy, the latest sources of lighting (including LEDs) and quantum dots, presenting during those events both posters and giving oral presentations. At the PGS’17 conference in San Diego La Jolla (USA) her poster was awarded in the competition for the best poster presentation. In the years 2013-2017 she carried out a number of research projects including: “The use of nanotechnology in modern materials” (POIG project no. 01.01.02-02-002/08), ” New efficient phosphors for lighting and solar concentrators” (POIG project number 01.01.02-02-006/09.). In the period 2016-2017 she was the head of the own research grant PRELUDIUM X from National Science Center “Explaining the mechanism of d-f luminescence quenching of Ce(3+) and Pr(3+) ions in Sr2GeO4”. The author of 7 scientific publications in journals from the Philadelphia list and patent application “A wide-range, luminescent temperature sensor with high sensitivity”. Appl. PhD PIOTR KOWALCZEWSKI

Numerical Simulation Manager

With XTPL since September 2016, currently holding the position of leader of numerical simulations laboratory. He is responsible for overseeing numerical simulations of XTPL processes and advanced analysis of test data. In 2011‒2015 he took a prestigious PhD scholarship as part of the EU’s Marie Curie ITN (PROPHET project) at the University of Pavia, Italy, where he defended his doctoral thesis on the simulation of optical and electrical phenomena in solar cells with disordered photonic structures. He was research scientist at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, and at STMicroelectronics, Catania, Italy. He presented his research findings at multiple international conferences in Europe and the US. He completed a number of specialized training courses on photonics, optoelectronics and materials engineering in Germany, UK, France and Italy. He co-authored several frequently cited papers in the field physics, optics and numerical simulations. Author of reviews for several publications contributed to Optics Letters, Optics Express journals as well as R&D Magazine.
