XTPL technology awarded in China
XTPL SA, a world leader of ground-breaking nanoprinting solutions for the global electronics market, was awarded as “The most valuable optoelectronic equipment” and “The most valuable optoelectronic materials” during the Display & Touch Industry Conference 2021 (DTIC 2021), one of the major industry conferences for display manufacturers in China. The Company’s technology was presented by the distributor Yi Xin Technology.
The event took place in Ningbo, China at the end of April this year. It was attended by nearly 600 key representatives of Chinese market suppliers of materials and equipment for the production of optoelectronics, including: Visionox, BOE, Changyang Technology, Jizhi Technology, Lumilan, Xi’an Jiaotong University (Simoway), TA Instruments, Lipper Technology, Long Innovation Materials, Kaixinsen, Dongcai Technology, Nuofei Nano, Tiancai Innovation, Saiwu Technology and Tongli Optoelectronics.
“We are proud that the XTPL technology has once again gained recognition from international experts and market practitioners – this time in China, one of the world’s most important printed electronics markets. The “Most Valuable Brand” title confirms the high competitiveness and innovation of our proposal. This award will undoubtedly contribute to strengthening XTPL’s presence in the Asian market and help to finalize the commercialization process, which is our key goal. Technologies related to the materials and touch equipment industry are evolving rapidly – XTPL is to be one of those companies to support producers in the evolution of this market, having previously attracted interest from the most important market players. That is why our presence at such events is so important to us. We are also happy about our strong cooperation with Yi XIn Technologies” says Filip Granek, CEO of XTPL S.A.
“DTIC 2021 (Display & Touch Industry Conference) is one of the most important industry events in China. It brings together decision-makers of the most important companies that supply manufacturers with the highest quality materials and equipment. This is where emerging technology innovations are for the first time assessed in terms of their industrial development. The XTPL technology we presented met with great interest from the market. We have gathered very positive feedback, also from potential clients, including those interested in repairing OLED displays” says Simon Hao, Managing Director of Yi Xin Technology.
The conference was organized by TrendBank, China’s leading company dealing with research and consultancy in the area of semiconductor displays, a provider of research and consulting services.
IMPORTANT PRESENCE
On May 17–21 2021, XTPL was present at Display Week, one of the most important conferences in the electronic display industry, where it again had the opportunity to showcase its technological solutions. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the event was held online.
“Display Week is one of the key industry events, and we were happy to participate in it again. This is a meeting venue for the largest players in the display industry such as 3M, BOE Technology Group Co., Ltd. LG Display, Optomec, Samsung Display and STMicroelectronics. As demonstrated by the award we received at the show in China, it is absolutely critical for XTPL to be present at such events. In this way, we build brand awareness and visibility, and present our technology to potential clients. At our virtual stand, we showcased the Epsilon printing device developed by us. It can be used to print features of high density, high height-to-width ratio, good coverage and adhesion on complex topographies, and high print stability. Epsilon uses our proprietary nanoprinting technology and is designed for integration with industrial platforms. We established new contacts and started talks about potential cooperation” Filip Granek says.
The Display Week is a combination of symposiums, seminars and business presentations on the latest technological solutions, and an exhibition part. More than 120 companies prepared their stands at the event. For 10 years now, the event has been accompanied by the I-Zone exhibition devoted to the most interesting and innovative solutions. This year, the organizers also invited XTPL to join the exhibition.
In 2020, the Company completed its first commercial orders for nanoinks and the XTPL Delta Printing System technology demonstrator. As part of projects related to industrial implementations, XTPL is conducting nine advanced technology evaluations with global partners active in the area of new generation devices. In addition, the Company built sales structures, overcame further technological barriers and expanded its patent cloud.
XTPL addresses its solutions to global players from the rapidly growing printed electronics industry. In 2020, its value was USD 41.2 billion (+11.0% YoY), in 2025 it is forecast to grow to USD 63.3 billion, while 2030 it is expected to reach even USD 74.1 billion (source: IDTechEx). This means an increase in the market value at a CAGR of 9.0% in 2020–2025.
XTPL constantly carries out research and development focused on its proprietary UPD technology and its applications in the industry of displays, semiconductors and advanced PCBs.
