XTPL recommended for a grant under the Go Global Programme
XTPL is one the companies that have been positively evaluated in the two-stage assessment process and recommended by experts for a grant under the Go Global programme. It is carried out by the National Centre for Research and Development and it supports commercialization of research results and transition from local to global markets.
80 companies participated in the second edition of Go Global. They submitted grant applications to be evaluated by a board of experts. One of the stages involved a presentation of the technology to the experts.
It was not the first time we talked about our technology in order to convince people that it is worth investing in. This time we emphasised its international potential, because we were applying for a grant to develop a strategy of expansion to the U.S. market. There is already a great amount of interest in XTPL internationally. We have received several letters of intent from companies operating in different parts of the globe and we continually get inquiries from international enterprises. It is a confirmation that the technology of Transparent Conductive Films manufactured with the method developed by XTPL has a great future on global markets, says Sebastian Młodziński, CEO at XTPL.
XTPL’s expert partner upon submitting the application was MIT Enterprise Forum Poland that will introduce the company to the U.S. market if the grant is won.
We are happy to continue our support for XTPL after completing the acceleration under the MIT Enterprise Forum Poland programme. We do believe that our competences and the network of contacts will prove helpful in planning XTPL’s international expansion, particularly onto the American market, says Paweł Bochniarz, CEO at the MIT Enterprise Forum Poland Foundation.
The best projects in the Go Global programme will receive grants of total value reaching PLN 5m. Entrepreneurs will be able to use the funds for preparing a strategy to enter global markets and gain knowledge on how to adapt their products to specific regional requirements. The grant can also be applied towards development and verification of the strategy in relations with potential investors and business partners.
Renewable energy is increasingly popular all over the world. Furthermore, displays are used in nearly every part of the globe. Each technology that can enhance their production process as well as lower the costs and improve people’s lives will stand the chance of gaining widespread interest. This is our guiding principle in the efforts to start collaboration with international players, adds Sebastian Młodziński.
